Have you ever wondered how to make fitness fun?
I think the key to lasting fitness fun is incorporating activities that allow for friends, family and experiences to dominate. Having amazing experiences with people you cherish… It won’t feel like an effort to stay active.
I’ve put together some of my favourite memories over the last 2-3 years to show that fitness can really be a lifestyle!
Photo 1. This photo below is with a training run with the Can Too crew. They train everyday people for events in running, triathlon, ocean swims etc in return for raising money for Cancer Research. Always so much fun working with them.
Photo 2. This is my office! We train hard and always have an awesome time in a group fitness environment.
Photo3. That’s me and my awesome participants!
Photo4. Another great session in the “office”
Photo5. This one is a little more relaxed. This time we went to cheer on some friends who were racing the Ironman World Championship in Kona and decided to drop into Waikiki for a few days.
Photo 6. Holiday Happy Hour after a day of water sports.
Photo 7. Quick bike ride the day before Western Sydney 70.3
We just happened to run into one of our local Aussie celebs.
Photo 8. Ironman!! Woo Hoo…. race morning! So excited:-)
Photo 9. Decided to enter into a team triathlon for a change with 2 of my buddies. Pb’s all around that day!
Photo’s 10 and 11. husky long course triathlon a few years ago. What a great party weekend (with a little race thrown in along the way)
Photo 12. The Warrior Dash – Too much fun!! And another great get together with friends.
Photo 13 – Another ironman. Pre race day. this time in Western Australia. Simply stunning…
Photo 14. Post Ironman celebratory drink at the finish line waiting to cheer some friends home:-)
Photo 15 and 16. Another ironman. HOT, HOT, HOT. Glad to finish that one!!
Photo 17. Yes, another triathlon…. It’s a hobbie:-)
Photo 18 – Trail running. Beautiful locations and I love signing up for different events with other like minded people.
Photo 19 – Back on the trails again. Who wouldn’t get out of bed for a gorgeous sunrise??
Photo 20 – And speaking of sunrise… Nothing like starting a bike ride just before the sun comes up to see colours like these.
Photo 21 – The Grose Valley. Peace and serenity from this lookout point. Worth every step to get there.
Photo 22 – For me, triathlon often means adventure and time away… relaxing with a great view and fantastic company…
Photo 23 – There’s that beautiful sunrise again! Perfect cycling morning.
Photo 24 – Race morning. Good Times!!!
Photo 25 – A long day in the saddle but always with great support!!
Photo 26 – And when race season is over there’s always time for a paddle.
Photo 27 – Always nice to train in a different setting. This time it’s Mooloolaba
Photo 28 – Social catch ups are never ending with the fitness crew.
Photo 29. We went to climb stairs… but never forget to check out the view:-)
Photo 30 – Cycling anyone?? Meet Stuart O’Grady:-)
Photo 31 – More fun training the Can Too gang. Kicking cancers butt!
Photo 32 – Stadium stomp stair climbing challenge. Fantastic:-)
Photo 33 – My other office. Rain or freezing weather won’t stop us. We’ll just take it indoors.
Photo 34 – After all the hard training with Can Too… So proud of them and what a beautiful backdrop for a photo.
Photo 35 – While you’re on Kona supporting friends, you may as well go to the top of Mauna Kea for sunset above the clouds and a spot of star gazing…
Photo 36 – And my favourite…. The coffee boat. Yes, I’ll swim for a coffee and enjoy it floating around.
Phot 37 – The people you meet on race day – Pete Jacobs. IM World Champion:-)
Photo 38 – I think I’m addicted to sunrise!!
Photo 39 – It seems I’m not the only one who love triathlon… Katherine Kelly Lang (Bold and Beautiful) dropped into my workplace and I thought I might grab a quick photo.
Photo 40 – Waiting for race day in Port Macquarie:-)
Photo 41 – Didn’t quite make it to the finish line but clearly I’m still having a good time!!
Photo 42 – Early morning cycle with friends before coffee and breakfast:-)
Photo 43 – I guess I love the sunset too – beautiful Waikiki
Photo 44 – Another “lazy” day chilling on the river.
Photo 45 – And a bike course with a gorgeous view.
So if you make fitness about adventure, time with friends and getting fresh air I think you’ll be able to turn fitness into a lifestyle choice… You don’t have to spend hours in the gym or on a treadmill to be fit and healthy!!
